Welcome Home Verity

Desi and I have friends from back in our Bible College days that we have recently caught up with via the blogging world. They have a beautiful daughter Faith who is a few years old and Kellee gave birth to their 2nd daughter Verity about 3 months ago. Verity was only 28 weeks old. Normal is 40 weeks. Aaron, Kellee's husband started writing about their journey via The V Files blog. We've been praying for Verity to grow and thrive and that they can take her home by Christmas. I just read their last post. She's home! What a beautiful story of God's providence.

May we all be thankful for what God has given us instead of focusing on what we don't have. May we spend time with those we love and make sure they know it by our words and actions.

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.
