APC -4th Of July Gathering

Happy Independence Day!

Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

John 8:32
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

It was exciting to see an engine drive through the park. No fire and we never found out what the emergency was, but when they drove back our kids ran after the truck with delight.

Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Watermelon is the best summer refreshment ever!

As a group our churches met together for the 4th in City Park. It was totally beautiful. The weather had cooled and thanks to Micah we had BBQ's brats, watermelon, chips, drinks and warm apple pie. Now, what's more American than that? It was just great to relax in the grass and enjoy being together. To see all the pics I took click here.
