Sledding In The City

Last Wednesday Desi took Hope and Owen sledding in the afternoon. We had just had a bunch more snowfall and it had warmed up...so sledding was an obvious exploration day activity. They went to Ruby Hill, just south of downtown. From the look of some of these pics, you'd think they were in Antartica or something. What a beautiful day it was. Micah joined in the fun and took the following pictures.

'Tis a privilege to live in Colorado. Thanks for the pics Micah!

ahhh...that looks so awesome. You make the south seem like a fun wasteland.
I'll have to post pics of us in our pool this summer to make you jealous.

Well Des, I wasn't there...so you'll have to take it up with your son! You are quite observant!

Yes, the devotional will update itself each morning & evening...pretty cool!

Melissa: what south are you talking about? I didn't think Colorado was a southern state- or a wasteland for that matter! Yes, having a pool in the summer would be just about the best thing. I have tried to get into our kiddie pool and it just doesn't cut it when it's 95 outside....hard to imagine it will ever get that hot here!

I love these pictures... how neat to go sledding on fresh snow where noone else has gone before (eeeeeven if it is a liiiiittle bit off limits). I love the look of the footprints in the snow and the fresh sled tracks! :) Great pics.

A clear case of sled abuse. Authorities have been notified.

rose, what i meant was that over here in Georgia seems like a "fun wasteland" compared to your colorado "winter wonderland." Winters here are lame with no snow to speak of. We have cold rainy dark pansy winters. The term wasteland was meant to describe our region -the south as not fun or devoid (or is it void?) of fun...you see i try to clear things up and end up being more confusing...a habit of those who talk and comment too much...surely you remember me being one of those people.
next time i will try to be less confusing.
love the new colors and spurgeon thingy...is that feedburner hard to set up?
