Veggie Garden Giants: My Yellow Zucchini

Look at these babies! We had half of one tonight and it was pretty tasty! I am learning a lot about veggie gardening this year.

Note to self: The Zucchini grows like crazy and will spread like wildfire...need more room next year. I'll post more pics later...got corn, sunflowers, green beans (got a handful- didn't pick them soon enough and they yellowed) and I think there are carrots growing somewhere.

I would love to see more pictures of your garden and lots of details. Sunlight vs. shade, how much water, etc. etc., I know nothing!

I bet the kids are having so much fun with the vegetables! If you pick them when they are small, they are tastier. They grow giant over night. When they get big, you can scoop out center, stuff with ground ground, rice, cheese, and seasoning and bake. That's good too!

Grandma Jan

Yuuuuuummm!! Yellow zukes are my favorite summer squash (regular zukes are okay, but a little too flavorful sometimes!). I love 'em sauteed with onions and peppers and some mexican seasoning- great veggie fajita filling! Nice job!! How cool to have a garden- I've got stuff in pots, but it just isn't the same. ;)
