More Levi Pictures For Your Viewing Pleasure

Well, I got home yesterday around lunch time and the kids were more excited to see Levi than me! I am totally exhausted and recovering from my tubal operation. The incision is just below my belly button, the perfect place for Levi to lay on when nursing and it just feels so good! Ha ha! My lower back is real sore from the spinal block as well, but every day I feel better and better. Last night was heaven to sleep in my own bed (no nurse coming in to poke me or Levi at ungodly hours!) Levi was up every 1.5 to 2 hours, but I still slept really well...the sleep deprivation has begun to affect me though and I only pray he begins to sleep through the night as soon as possible! These are a few pics I wanted to share. Thanks to all for the kind emails, we are so blessed. And a BIG THANKS to my MOM who has been a wonderful HELP since I went into labor Monday night! MOM, YOU DESERVE A MEDAL! Love, Rose

Levi Martin Luther Starr

The little man decided to show up on monday evening and to show up quick. He was born at 11:49pm (06/26/06) after only a bit over two hours of labor. His birth weight was 8lbs 13oz (our smallest baby) and he was 19 and 3/4inches long. He looks like a winner. We think we'll keep him.

More to come later.

NO, he's not here yet!

I am still pregnant and feeling very, very, very full! We actually have a busy week ahead of us with the EFCA National Conference, so I guess I am ok with the boy waiting till next weekend, but it's not up to me! One of the last things in life that I can't plan...but God has it planned and I am pretty sure He knows the best time for our boy to show up!
Bedhead likes the baby's car seat...just his size!

My little cutie keeps me laughing!

VBS & Sports Camp -Last Day

These pics are from the last day of VBS and Sports Camp put on by BUMP and our church. The week went very well. We made a lot of contacts with people in the neighborhood and look forward to connecting with them. Tonight is our last Sunday meeting at Antioch Baptist. Next Sunday, July 2nd we're having another BBQ outreach in Curtis Park in the afternoon and the following Sunday will begin meeting there on Sunday mornings at 10:30. We are excited about how easy it will be for people in the neighborhood to walk over and join us. It will be nice to meet in the mornings again as well. Pray that God directs us for the fall as to where He wants us to be. We'd love to be in the neighborhood and still meet in the mornings...we obviously need a building for winter, and we trust that God has a place for us. That's church-planting for you...learning to be flexible! Thanks for all your prayers over the week...it was wonderful and God has blessed us indeed!

APC and BUMP...

These pics are from this afternoon at Curtis Park. The BUMP (Bridging Urban Missions Projects) group set up games with prizes, soccer, face painting and cooked 500 hot dogs to give away. They handed out fliers and signed up 75 neighborhood kids for VBS up to age 10 and a sports camp age 11 and up for the rest of this week. Please pray that the neighborhood kids and their caregivers and parents would come out, that we would bless them and they would come to know Jesus in a real way. Starting the 2nd Sunday in July, we'll be meeting in that park on Sunday mornings for church and will be giving invites out all this week. We'll keep you posted as to this week and how it's going (unless I go into labor and am in the hospital, which I am more than ready for!). We covet your prayers and are blessed to have the BUMP group out to help us all week. By the way, the BUMP group is 47 teens and leaders from Minnesota, Arizona, Kansas and Colorado Springs...pretty cool.

Kids LOVED the face, hand and arm painting!

A beautiful, but hot day at Curtis Park.

Hope and her best friend Abby...notice the cheek paintings!
