A Couple More From Lair 'O The Bear

The little river was so fun...the big log was too!

The kids loved hiking...we'll be back soon :)

Owen...is this a model shot, or what? He's too cute...hopefully he get's a little uglier as he gets older, or I'll have to chase the girls away! Ha Ha!

Jumping, Falling and Laughing

We go up to the Kylander's about once a week for dinner and fun. They have a trampoline, which the kids love and fight over. We give the older three time to jump and then the little kids their own time. I took some pictures of the "little" kids jumping last week. They were so cute to watch. Jumping, falling and laughing-over and over and over again.

Lair o' the Bear Park

Last Sunday, our group met at Lair o' the Bear Park near Morrison, CO. We picnicked (is that a word?), took a hike (the kids loved it), and had a time of fellowship and prayer. What a great time of church...total blessing! Anyhow, the little ones had a blast and I have a sneaking suspicion that the adults had fun too! Colorado is just so gorgeous this time of year-we are blessed indeed. Ezra gets the award for best smile of the day :)

How Do You Get A Kitty From A Soda Box?

If you're Hope, it's a simple matter of inspiration. She gets an idea in her head and goes with it. She created this "cat" today from a soda box. I am amazed at her creativity, but after all with the ultimate Creator as her maker, why wouldn't she be creative?

Cuties...notice Owen's pose...he's taking after his daddy-don't ever give a nice smile that your mom would like, be silly-it's more fun!

I Always Wanted A Sister!

Hope and Emma share a room and bunkbed. They are really cute together most of the time. Tonight we saw a little bit of dancing with the stars and Hope proceeded to give Emma dancing lessons. The cutest part- Emma actually listened to Hope and followed her directions!

And School Begins...

We began 1st grade with Hope last Thursday. We are learning about scrolls and how the Bible used to be written by scribes on paper scrolls. Sometimes those scrolls were stored in clay pots. We made our own clay pots (out of flour, salt, cornstarch and water) on Friday...they are still drying! Hope and Owen loved it.

Hope (and Owen, by just being there) is studing patterns for math this week. We love playing with the pattern blocks. She came up with this design and I copied her and made one too.

New Friends

Bruce, Roscoe, Desi, Richard and Thomas

Desi and Bruce just went to the House 2 House conference here in Denver over Labor Day weekend. These are a few pics of some of the new friends they made. These guys came over to our house for lunch on Monday before leaving for Virginia. They are involved in the house church movement in the Richmond area. We look forward to a growing friendship with them and are blessed to know them.

Feet

Hope loves to take pictures with our camera. Having a digital is great, since we can delete the hundreds of pics she can take in a matter of minutes. A few of her shots turn out really great. Here are a couple recent one's we liked with a foot theme.
