My First NBA Game

Our 7 year anniversary is May 1st. Last night Desi surprised me with a wonderful date. We took the light rail downtown (I am thinking...this is fun...no kids, don't have to search for parking). We ate at one of the most tasty places in Denver...The 9th Door (tapas) and strolled down to 16th St. (main street downtown). We kept walking past 16th and went to look at the creek when I realized there must be a basketball game and asked Desi. With a big smile on his face he said yes and I asked if we were going...yes again! I have wanted to go to a game since we moved here and this was great...a playoff game! I loved it!

This was the view from my seat...pretty good!

Some Nuggets action...

Final score...This was game #3 for Clippers & Nuggets and the Nuggets first win.

I think seeing and hearing (sooo loud) all the fans was close to as fun as watching the game...real fans are truly that -fanatical (I wish I could have been more stealth with the camera to take pics of people!) Thank you my love Desi!

I Made It!

I am not talking about Hope...I made that hat! My friend Lisa is a knitter and showed me how to read a pattern and lo and behold, this came from my hands! I was so excited to finish! More hats are sure to come. Thanks Lisa!

Spinners...

We were going to meet my parents and see their new place on Sunday. Driving down Colfax (America's longest street), something very shiny caught my eye. I looked out the window and lo and behold I saw the spinners.

...and this is the beauty that the spinners were on...wow!

Easter

Happy Easter! Thank you to all who sent gifts and cards! Our kids were so excited to open them. We had a GREAT day at Bruce & Karen Duell's house. Tons of sunshine, great lunch, Bible story, and an easter egg hunt!

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day to spend with friends and family!

FONDUE!

Aimee Dokes and I make it a point to get out together once a week on Tuesday nights at 8:15 (after kids are in bed). Sometimes we are utterly exhausted, but only illness will put a stop to our outings! Last Tuesday we treated ourselves to a late night snack at La Fondue. We had such a great time!

If you ever want to join us on a fondue outing, let us know!

Lost In America

We are starting a new series based on this book for Sunday nights at our church. This book is "full of powerful, yet realistic ways that you and your church can effectively reach out in genuine love to those without Christ in their lives." Basically, this is a springboard for us to use in training and equipping our church to reach out to those around us with the love of God.

If this sounds intersting to you, pick up a copy and read along with us. Let us know what you think of it.

Bunco Party!

Saturday, April 1st marked the first of many parties that we'll be throwing as a church. We had burrito potluck and played a couple games of Bunco. Our neighbors, Rich and Barb along with their 1yr old daughter Isabel, came and we look forward to getting to know them better. We had 15 adults and 12 kids, which got pretty loud, but we all had a great time. Thanks to all who brought food...what a help!

Bike Riding...is it really THAT fun?!

Hope is riding without training wheels or daddy! To see and hear her joy in overcoming her fear of doing it by herself is just priceless...her smile has never been bigger!

These two are usually running around trying to keep up with Hope...lots of laughs!

Emma likes Owen's bike better than her own...who doesn't like a big wheel! For those of you who live so far away, that's our house just above Emma's head...with the red roof! It's great to have all this space to ride bikes so close!
